Imagine coming home from work to a filthy home. Will you feel relaxed? Most [likely, you will feel stressed and upset about seeing all the clutter all over your home. Having a clean home will definitely relieve your stress and makes you feel more comfortable. Plus, having everything organized makes you move easily and freely.

Safety

Leaving stuff scattered around, such as toys, may increase the chance of someone in your family getting injured by tripping on it, or having items unstacked properly may fell on someone and injure him. Organizing your stuff can surely make a huge difference and keep you away from harm.

Sanitation

Staying at home doesn’t mean you are safe from all kinds of bacteria and diseases that can compromise your health. Sanitizing surfaces most especially in the Kitchen, and Bathroom helps prevent the spread and growth of germs and bacterias.

Pests no more

Leaving home dusty, and untidy may cause household pests to disguise themselves, to occupy and stay in your homes. Cleaning regularly helps avoid these pests. Take out the garbage everyday, sweeping and vacuuming will help avoid pests nesting in your homes.

Aiming for a clean house is really not that difficult to achieve. Here are some good habits you may consider and in time be  you’ll be able to follow and do them instinctively. Cleaning daily may seem to be difficult at first but the more you do it, the easier it gets. Here are some tips that may become your habit eventually.

Make your Bed

Start the morning right by making your bed as soon as you hop off from it.. It may take only few of your minutes, but I assure you, it will be a great relief, and a good start for your day. Plus, it would be more comfortable to snuggle up in a clean neat sheets when you go to bed after long day.

Load O’ Laundry a day.

Piled up laundry is surely upsetting to see. Imagine looking at all the undone household chores then suddenly seeing your piled up laundry in the corner, undeniably, stressful. Do a load of laundry at the end of the day to avoid piling up dirty clothes and stuff. Have a schedule assigned for each day of the week , Monday-  white clothes, Tuesday- jeans, Wednesday-colored clothes. Etc. Save some time somewhere in your complete the load and putting it away.

All for one, One for all!

Teamwork is not just done in schools, offices and other organizations. It can also happen inside our homes. Some people may prefer doing stuff alone as it seems to be easier. But come to think of it, if everyone at home has an assigned task, things can be tidy up in no time at all! It may be tricky and time-consuming at first, especially when you are training your kids to do stuff. You have to be patient as well and let them understand the importance of teamwork and keeping the entire house clean and fresh. You may also start by bringing up some house rules as well, like putting the dishes inside the dishwasher, putting their coat or shoes away once they come in the house and organizing their toys and make sure they keep them after playing. These simple tasks will eventually help them not only to do household chores but also teach them to be organized and disciplined. Start of with some of these simple tasks and as time goes by and as they grow older, you may add in other chores if needed and if possible. Your entire family will surely notice the difference and the benefits of team wok and having a clean, tidy home.

Declutter

This habit may take a longer period to be done. Uncluttering and organizing may take more amount of time to get things cleaned up, but for sure, in the long run. It will help you and your entire family tidy and clean things up easier.  If You are unsure where to start decluttering, You can choose one are of your home to start like the kitchen, or bedrooms then everything will follow.

CLAYGO

This is very popular outdoors, like in the fast food or parks and even in schools. But this rule can surely be applied at home too. It’s an easy thing to do, but most of us, (most of the time) forgets. Load dirty dishes to the dishwasher instead of just leaving them on the counter or sink. After dinner, have each family member clean and tidy up so you won’t be stuck with a messy kitchen and dining area before bedtime as you will still see these mess when you wake up in the morning when you just leave them around. Put your shoes, coats and bags away when you come in and don’t just leave them scattered. These simple things are easily done when you start practicing it as a habit. It may not be always 100% done, but you and your  family will definitely save time, a lot of time cleaning up, so Clean As You go.

Clean-time before Bedtime

Put on a timer and just do a swift cleaning of the top priorities that needs to be tidy up.  Let’s say, kids can check their rooms and clean up their mess, put away toys and some small chores like fixing the pillows and cushions(if detachable) of the sofa while you finish the things to do in cleaning the kitchen and folding and putting away the laundry done for the day. These are just some ideas of what you can do before bed time, or you may focus on the things that are making the most mess or biggest clutter. After all the chores, you together with the entire family will surely have a nice, comfortable rest and a fresh start when you wake up in the morning.

I must say, these habits will help us be disciplined and clean at all times, However, There may be circumstances that we won’t able to clean our homes all by ourselves.
